The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International has released a new guide to assist building owners, managers, and operators in preparing for increased building utilization. The guide, which was developed by a task group of real estate experts from throughout North America, explores potential building operations and workforce issues that will arise as tenants and visitors increase building use in response to changes in COVID-19 shelter-in-place requirements. The guide titled, Getting Back to Work: Preparing Buildings for Re-Entry Amid COVID-19 reviews both operational and safety procedures for commercial office building, and it is designed as a framework to assist real estate professionals in developing plans for individual properties, as well as portfolios.
